Drink of the Week: Ambrosia

In ancient Greek mythology, the gods drank of a nectar known as ambrosia. This special drink was believed to bestow immortality upon any and all who drank of it. While today’s drink of the week is surely mythically delicious (*in Lucky The Leprechaun Voice), it WILL NOT bear any fruits of immortality upon its drinker.

1.5 oz. Pineapple Infused Tequila
1.5 oz. Triple Sec
1.5 oz. Apple Juice
Pineapple wedge, garnish

– combine ingredients in a shaker full of ice
– shake vigorously
– strain into a fresh Collins glass filled with ice
– garnish with a pineapple wedge

This drink was created about a year ago during the launch party of my company, “Mixed Company.” My original drink, called Maleficent’s Apple, used jalapeño infused tequila instead of the pineapple infused in the above recipe. A few request to leave the heat out lead me to a bottle of pineapple tequila I had just finished making. An instant hit was born. So grab a cup and pour yourself some libations.

It’s my birthday.
