DOTW: Pumpkin-Apple Punch

All Hallows Eve is a week away. If you don’t have a costume yet, it’s OK. Just dress up as procrastination. You’re Welcome. If you’re still thinking of drink ideas for that Halloween party you are throwing, I got you covered on that too. This week’s recipe is not only great as a cocktail that you can hide in a bottle while you trick or treat with your kids, its simple enough to be converted into a “spooky” punch with very little math required.

Pumpkin-Apple Punch

Ingredients:
2 oz. pumpkin spice-infused rum
2 oz. apple cider
2 oz. spicy ginger ale (or ginger beer)

Directions:
– combine ingredients in Collins glass filled with ice
– stir to mix
garnish: pumpkin shaped candy

To make spooky: serve as a punch out of a hallowed out pumpkin. If you can find a punch bowl that fits in your hallow pumpkin, use that inside of it. You can even carve a face in the pumpkin, though do so very shallow if you’re not using the hidden punch bowl method; just enough to expose the white under the pumpkins skins. Wouldn’t want your pumpkin punch-bowl puncturing and springing a leak?
