Fact: I love apple juice; Hence my [pseudo] obsession with hard ciders. This also means I enjoy all sorts of ways to mix apple juice, or hard ciders, into cocktails. One great side effect of my apple juice + spirits ventures is opening up a world of breakfast/brunch cocktails. And since bacon is this Month’s Infusion, why not make a brunch/breakfast drink?
Apple Would, Bacon
2 oz. bacon-infused bourbon
2 oz. apple juice
1 oz. triple sec
½ oz. ginger ale
– build ingredients in a rocks glass over ice
– stir to mix
Garnish: apple slice (or bacon straw)
This needs to be added to someone’s brunch menu! Bacon, bourbon, and apple make quit the team. Add the hint of not only ginger but the effervescence brought by the ginger ale and you get an almost refreshing evaporation of sweetness at the end of each sip. “Oh. Hello midday recovery nap.
